DandAD // Design Is About Doing // Idea One Continued...

I wanted the basic layout for my poster to be this. A rectangle of rain in the middle with a small section at the bottom for the small print.

I did a couple of experiment trying to make the UK part of it more obvious, but i'm not sure it's neccasry. Th ideas are interesting but i think that it deters away from the rain and more to the flag. Not really what i want to be doing.

I have changed the type to white and think this works quite well but a little confusing. I want the message to be subtle at first but not confusing.

I have also added the text in at the bottom. In this section i will be placing in the Top Ten reasons why rain is great in the UK and possibly other information on there.

I really like this on it's own. Its maybe a little too subtle as you will not know what it is representing until you actually read the small print. I quite like the idea of that though, but maybe this is deterring from the whole purpose of the poster. After all, the poster is to get people want to visit the UK because of rain. Maybe this a little bit too 'Gallery-esque' for the purpose. I will have to get some feedback, see what people think.

Changing the type to a light blue works better. I have also merged the text into the raindrops which works well.

A little confusing close up, but very readable from a distance. I like the idea of this.

Too bright, Too garish!

The White works better when the text is blown up. This is another possibilty. It is Obviously about rain, but again quite subtle. To me though, this would be quite intriguing. I would want to discover more about it if i was passing in the street. I would stop and look.

Changed the blue to a much more pastel colour but still bad to look at on the eyes. This is still not right.

Here, i have merged the text into the raindrops again. I feel this is the most succesful. I'm going to try and recieve some more feedback to see what people think.
