I thought that I would try something a little bit different than keeping in my comfort zone. My original idea was the draw the details straight onto Simon's chest, but in the end, thought that I could get a more well rounded design digitally placing the hand-drawn elements onto an image I has previously taken.
The influence for this piece comes directly from the film. I watched quite a lot of clips of the film as well as the trailer before i went about idea generation. The bit in the film that hit me the hardest was where the main character is tied down to a chair and tattooed and eagle onto his chest using a large knife. The character then goes on to grow up through the film with the same eagle tattoo that plays a prominent role in the movie. I wanted to incorporate the logo with the stylised typography also used in the film. I then added other hand-drawn custom type elements to make it appear that the information may have been tattooed into the persons torso.
