Proverbally Yours // Message and Interpretation // Posters // Feedback

We was asked to crit each others work at random. We all sat down and followed  set of critique qiestions on two different peoples work. This is the feedback i recieved...

From the feedback i received i am generally happy. Overall, people think the posters satisfy the brief and work well.

I have been receiving comments such as...

"The colours and stock work well, backing up the tone of the peice. The colour red represents danger and juxtaposes the idea of safety, much like the mis-aligned illustration."

This was the idea i was going for so i am really glad that the message has come through to somebody who has not seen this before.

"The red colour used draws your eyes around the image and the simple imagery makes the design memorable and understandable. The way the colours are layered over each other is really interesting and seems to add texture to the illustrations."

I'm also glad that this has been said because originally with the red colour my image looked a bit red and this was one of the reasons i created this to add a bit of texture and depth to the images.

"The set definitely fits the tone and are an interesting set of posters"

The only critism i got with the posters from one person was...

"The text could be made bigger for impact."

I do appreciate this comment but i can't see how i could make my text bigger. The idea was for the posters to work as a set, which they do. The text takes up the majority of the poster. This is one that i would have to take up with whoever wrote it because i'm a little confused to what it means.

There was also a comment about the blue and red layered colours being a little confusing from afar which is something i will have to look at. I did add the blue because the image looked a little bit flat without it so i will have to have a play around with it and see if it would be worth changing my posters.
