OUGD503 - Creative Partners - Final Packaging

Using the chosen colour scheme that me and Chris had discussed previously discussed, I went on to apply these to the Layouts. I also modified the layouts from the mistakes shown on my mock-ups so that these were perfect and ready to go.

We always have this CMYK swatch so that me and Chris can make sure we are using the exact same colour palette throughout the whole brand. This will make sure that there are no imperfections or mistakes made before sending for print.

Full Set (4)

This the four final fragrances; Adrenaline, Testosterone, Glutamate, Oxytocin and their relative colours.  They will always be placed in this order as it goes from deep red to cooling blue through the colour palette. This mock-up is a rough idea of how they might look when facing forward on a shelf or POS display.

Front, Back, With Bottle (No Label)

A few attempts at possible vinyl / clear label and bottle colours. These are pretty rough ideas at the moment. As the bottle are fairly small, I doubt that we would be able to create the vinyl stickers for the front of the bottle. I did have the idea though of filling the bottles with black liquid to make them appear dark. This would be a substitute for a genuine black bottle in industry, but I feel that this all black look might contrast well with the white and coloured packaging. The bottle label should be kept fairly simple and relate directly to the medical theme, because we have to take into consideration that the user will probably throw away the box packaging. The bottle needs to work as a stand alone object and product, but mustn't be cheapened by a bad paper label.

This was another idea I had which might add a extra bit of class to the product. This would be a black bottle with black stock for the label. Black ink would be printed onto the stock, then spot varnished over to give a sleek shine. Then there would be a rubber (or paper) band around the bottom of the bottle which would be the colour of the scent. This would tie it in with the packaging to let users know where it belongs to. The back would contain more info about the scent to reassure this idea.

Front, Left, Right, Back, Top, Bottom

These screen grabs show how the packaging will look from all angles; Front, Left, Back, Right, Top and Bottom. The designs are very minimalist following the theories of traditional swiss graphic design and the modernist movement. Clean Type and bold colours make up the majority of the design. This will help it stand out against the dark, traditional perfume that are currently out there.
