Design Principles // Type & Grid Continued

I moved on from my original ideas to develop them further. I read the story again and picked out certain areas that i deemed important. From this i created the more illustrative title, as i felt that this would work better than just type alone. I added the line through the dollar sign to represent OJ's struggle with money and jail and made the type curved around that. This will help reinforce the ist of the story before the reader decides to read on.

I then layed this over the image to make the image full size for the cover page. I added the subheading underneath this to make it easier to read.

I then used the same layout as before for the next page.

As, the DPS i chose to make was a feature in the magazine, I decided to make the full feature which spanned across 6 a4 pages. I wanted to carry on experimenting and keep the same consistent theme as this is something i haven't really tried before.

s you can see on the front cover, i chose to change the image to the one of OJ with a hand in his face. I scanned in the other images from the magazine and changed them around to fit the theme of my magazine feature.
