OUGD406 // Stamp It // Cover Design

I have also decided to look at the cover design. I wanted to keep the design on the front the same of that on the stamps to make it all work as one. From my research i have been looking at pack of 6 stamps how they are normally packaged in a little 6 stamp booklet, you can see below the olympics ones.

One these, i noticed they usually have the bold type '6x1st' in what looks like helvetica. The '6x' looks to be a smaller 'oblique' weight that the bold '1st' so i will mimic this in my designs.

There is also the royal mail logo on most of the packaging that i have seen.

Here are my initial attempts at layout design for the cover. I wanted to use an illustration of one of the stamps (or possibly all) to use on the cover so that it would all fit as one theme, unlike the booklet above. I have also noticed on the inside left of the booklet that there is some information about the designs of the stamp. As i am representing 'Walk To Work Week', i will include some information and website details here. My six stamps will sit on the right hand side and the back will be pretty much clear with maybe a couple of logos and websites...

FRONT COVER

I really like the idea of cropping into the shoe so i think this is the style i will be going for. I will keep playing around with different designs until i get where i want to be for the cover.

Also tried layering the shoes up like this but i'm not sure if it works or not. I personally like the more minimalistic ones.

Could also go for the plain patterns?

BACK COVER

Few designs i have been working on for the back cover. i wanted to keep it really simple. I may take away the royal mail logo as that is on the front and just stick with the information that is needed.
