It took longer than we thought, because we used abit of a 'handmade' makeshift method of embossin but we are all really pleased with the results...
We first off printed our cards onto some thick 200 gsm watercolour paper. The texture of this was considered to be the best option for the look we was going for. We cut them into 8cm/5cm standard size business cards. We then used the lastercutter to precisely cut out our 'JP' logo and taped these to some trace paper in position, ready to be pressed onto the cards.
We used an iron press to emboss the logo and was a bit dubious of it working but it the end after some experimenting got some great results...
Simon has been filming us throughout the production of the purses, logo and business cards so we will be uploading a video to the website to give the viewers a sense of how 'Handmade' and the craft that has gone into the product. This hopefully, will help promote recycling.
