Design Principles // Hot-Dog Fold Booklet // Further Development

I decided to play around with the design of my hot-dog fold a little bit, seeing as i had a day or two before the booked printing slot and wanted to get it looking as good as i could before it would be too late.

Here was the finished booklet before i tweaked it...

the first thing i did was change the edition number panel on the bag. On the original, it was way too big, i needed to shrink it down on the page. Secondly, i thought that the big bold circle and lines surrounding the number 10 was unnecessary so also decided to take that way. I change the font around the circle to form a larger circle to 'limited edition ~ print number'. I think this adds a little bit of a personal touch and would make the potential customers want to buy my product more. here are the results below...

On the whole, the feedback from my mock-up i got was great. People seemed to like it even though i was unsure about the anatomy of type being a very dry subject. The only real criticism i got was that the colour scheme was a bit much, blue and pink.

I decided to experiment further into this to see if i could make it look better...

As you can see on teh poster here, i have changed to a red and slightly darker blue. I think this works much better, especially when i ass the off white background in which is only representing the stock i will be using...

I also changed the lines behind the logo, making them slightly thicker!

I am a lot more happy with the final result of this now!

As for the inside of the booklet, i kept it pretty similar. The only change i made really was the lines running through the book to red and blue and also some of the text on the back, as well as the logo on the front...
