Proverbally yours - Message and Interpretation -Type and Composition Development

I started by playing around with some of the fonts i had settled on previously. I wanted to create a professional looking, old school TYPE poster, that still had the clear message of what i wanted to put across. I came up with a few different slogans to go with my proverb that would look good layed out into a poster...

"Chipped Pets Always Find Their Way Back Home"

"Chipped Pets Always Come Back Home"

"Chipped Pets Never Get Lost"

"Keep Track Of Your Best Friend. Chip Your Pet"

I quite liked the ring to the top slogan so i mainly went with that idea.

Just and experiment using the two colours brought through from my previous brief. adding lines around the type.

I  then got deeper into the design, playing around with the composition of the poster and adding a few different fonts (NOT TOO MANY) inspired by the old school typography posters. I also adding some stock into the background to see what it will look like.. i eventually want to print it onto some subtly coloured textured stock. I don't like this design though, it is way too messy!

I cleaned the design up a bit, stripped it down to just the type and some lines breaking it up with subtle hints at some imagery with the silhouette of the cat up top and the lines representing the chips in the pet. I also started to introduce the  light blue colour into the design but feel it works better just one colour and stock for this particular design (see below)...

I am pleased with the result of this design. I can use this within my booklet or maybe come back to it later when i have more pages designed. I want to try and combine type pages in this style with other pages containing more information, paragraphs and imagery (illustrations)
