OUGD505 - Schedule / Film Listings

Design

My research led me onto looking at more interesting formats for my product and range and I really wanted to create something quite unique for the schedule. The idea come from my initial idea of the invitation and the strip of text appearing 'The British Film Festival'. I thought that because the schedules would be printed on a much more larger scale then the invites, if this was real, that adding another perforated tab would not only be expensive to make, but also a little bit unnessacery for the environment they would be found in. People would more than likely pull the tab open and litter the floor with the peeled off segment.

This is how the front and back will look when closed. The logo printed on the front top and bottom will join up when the tabs are pulled open, creating the full square logo. This enhances interaction.

Once open, the Line of text that is visible from the closed section remains there with further listings above and beneath it. The back of the document contains information about the festival, ticket prices and booking information as well as opening times and disabled access.

The leaflet opens out to reveal the films on the inside.

Here you can see from these images how the card folds back to bring the 'B' logo together. This was just to enhance the user interaction a little bit more and when its closed it also relates to the rest of the branding, such as the tickets for example.

The back contains the useful information needed relating to the festival, booking tickets, etc. When the B logo opens back up, this info is placed between the two halves.
