Today I got chance to print and craft the stationary set for the company I had been working freelance for. This put me in a better position when presenting my work to the clients, giving them a better vision of how their stationary could look. If they like it enough, they will pay for this to go into production on a larger scale.
The hardest part was creating the business cards with the purple fill through the center. I created this by printed both sides of the business card out separately on white stock, then gluing both these pieces to the purple stock. Once all of this had dried in a press, I then glued both of these together, which created a thicker purple fill on the inside of the card. I put this into a press and left for around 5-10 mins to flatten it out and let it stick. I then used a scalpel to clean up the edges and revealing the layered card.
To create the other pieces of stationary, the letterhead and complement slips, I mounted the printed white stock onto one single sheet of the purple stock and cleaned up the edges again giving a layered effect whilst also keeping the stock thin enough to act like paper/card for the purpose of the letterhead and complement slip.
Finally, for the envelope, I did the same process as the other pieces of stationary, but had to cut and fold it perfectly into shape. Once this was done, I applied glue and again left in the press for around 5 minutes to set the glue. When removed, the envelope was fully stuck and revealed the purple inner lining, which is a nice touch.

These photographs haven't come out as well as I wanted so I could do with getting some studio shots or if not using some nice mid-day natural lighting in order to get the correct lighting needed. Most of these are a little dark and to compensate with white balance and ISO, they have come out a little 'noisy'.
