Design Production - Mutton Quad - Website Development

Continued development of my website, I'm on the way to completion. I've nearly completed each page, just a couple of alterations are needed. It's looking a lot more like my original scamps and mock-ups which is good and I just need to add a couple of images and information for this to be finished.

The main problem that needs fixing is that my column inside the container is slightly over to the left. I thought this would be fairly easy to fix but can't get to the bottom of the problem so will have to do some further research into what could be the problem for this. It seems like it could be simple enough to fix...

____Contact

Again, the contact page was simple enough to make. Type and image and javascript to hold the interactive google maps flash player. I still haven't managed to sort this out yet so just dropped a mock-up image in for the time being. I might even use this for the final just because it looks more realistic than using a fake location on a  map.

____Menu

The menu page was simple enough to create. I inserted the designs from my printed menu so that it again was constant throughout and dropped them into the column as an image. This is readable and legible just about and is better than using text because I can get a clearer representation of the printed products.

The only thing i'm concerned about is the stamps. On this particular page it is shown three times because of the one that I have attached to the website. this looks to be a little excessive so migth have to take them out of the image used for the menu.

____Story Page

For the Story page, I have created a simple vertical timeline that consists of type and image. The images are longer and thinner and are accompanied by a sentence or two underneath. I also added a rollover image to each one, so that the date appears over the top in bold red which makes it more interactive with the user, keeping them more entertained that just type and image.

i kept the same colour scheme, black and white images with accents of red, white cream and black.

____Homepage

The home page is this illustration of the anatomy. I wanted to keep this page bold as it is the first you see when you enter the website and therefore needed to instantly grab your attention. I like the idea of the image being overly large as other user could scroll down throughout the  diagram to reach some information about the website at the bottom of the page, which I still need to add.

Above is what the homepage is currently looking like. Really liking the look of it. It's clean, minimal, matches the design of the print and gets the message across.
