As i was finally happy with the design of my stationary, I decided to go ahead and print to see how it would turn out in the physical form instead of just mocking everything up. It didn't seem that difficult to print as everything was quite small scale so it was just a case of choosing the correct stock that would be appropriate to match my initial designs. This meant that if I needed to make alterations with stock or small design alterations, on the whole it wouldn't be hard to alter before the deadline.
It wasn't the most difficult thing to get printed and put together. mostly single sheets of paper with the menu being the hardest thing to complete.
I decided for the menu that I wanted to craft this myself as it was the only way I could get the final look that I was hoping for. I hand stitched the leaves together using thick red thread. This was simple enough, I made incisions along the spine of the sheets when placed together then just stitched through the length of the spine.
I also mocked up the clipboard using a piece of wood and bulldog clips a well as the tin can with the strip stuck over and into the can.
This is the photo-shoot that I did with the printed products. I spent more time when photographing the products just because I felt that the only way of successfully representing the products would be to photograph it correctly and professionals. I used natural lighting, an SLR and a tripod to achieve these photos that i'm reasonably impressed with.
